We are delighted to announce that the Centre for Gender Studies and the Faculty of Philosophy are co-hosting a presentation and book launch for Butterfly Politics by Professor Catharine A. MacKinnon, Elizabeth A. Long Professor of Law at the University of Michigan Law School and the James Barr Ames Visiting Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, on Monday 15 May at the Faculty of Law, Lecture Theatre LG18, Sidgwick Site.

Faculty of Law Map

A powerful critique of the legal and institutional denial of reality that perpetuates practices of gender inequality, Butterfly Politics provides a model of what principled, effective, socially conscious engagement with law looks like.

All are welcome to attend this event, which will be followed by a book signing by Professor MacKinnon and a drinks reception.
