Research Assistant at the Centre for Gender Studies (Fixed term, part-time)

Centre LogoThe University of Cambridge Centre for Gender Studies is currently inviting applications for a part-time (7.5 hours/week) Research Assistant position to support the Technology, Gender and Intersectionality Research Project, led by Professor Jude Browne, Jessica and Peter Frankopan Director, UCCGS.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 year in the first instance.

The project's objective, in collaboration with the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence, is to develop innovative gender and intersectional methodologies in the general field of algorithms, data and AI. The successful applicant will have a research interest in the general field. The role holder will undertake a variety of tasks, under the direction of Professor Browne, including arranging and conducting research meetings, compiling and analysing data, and preparing detailed briefs on particular policy areas, legislative developments and key debates as well as assist with research output production.

This post will be located in the University of Cambridge Centre for Gender Studies (UCCGS), a multi-disciplinary University-wide initiative housed in the Department of Politics and International Studies and supported by the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences. 

The deadline for applications is Friday 5 February 2021. It is anticipated that interviews will be carried out shortly after the deadline.
